Every goal needs a constant motivating force to keep one going. The same principle works for saving, or paying off your debt. Having been born in a family that struggled to pay off our debts, I have grown to hate debt.
I promised myself that once I have work of my own, I would never engage into it again. But the thing is, once we moved to our rent-to-own house, I would have to put myself into one again. Several plans were cancelled, while others can’t be realized even before they’re conceptualized.
That’s why I was delighted when Brad of EnemyofDebt.com asked his readers,
“What if you’re debt-free? Where would you go? What would you see?”
If I didn’t have that rent-to-own house to worry about, I would definitely indulge myself with the following:
1. Stay at Sofitel and get the most amazing pampering in the world! I just had their French massage last Tuesday and can’t wait to experience it again.
2. Go on a mission for one year and a half. It has always been my dream to go and serve a mission but the need to save for our house and pay it off is what keeps me from going.

3. Buy a Sony VAIO S Series – Pink!
4. Travel the whole Philippines like there’s no tomorrow.
5. Visit Singapore and party with the rest of the World’s Coolest Intern Top 10.
What about you? What’s your debt-free bucket list?
I make it to the point that I consider debt as my enemy because the moment you give it an inch, it becomes your ruler. hehe
